Leeds United will be seeking just their second win in 14 games when they welcome Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday to Elland Road tomorrow.

The Whites have stuttered under new manager Paul Heckingbottom and recent defeats to Middlesbrough and Wolves ended any faint hopes they had of making the top six.

Yet, they will be facing an Owls side that have major issues of their own. Since Jos Luhukay was appointed in January his side have won just one of their 11 Championship games.

Fortunately for Wednesday, the equally dismal form of the sides in the relegation zone means they still have an eight-point cushion over 22nd place Birmingham City.

Therefore, it's a fairly tough game to call between two underperforming sides but Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton reckons home advantage will help Leeds to three points.

The former midfielder played for both these sides and went for a 2-1 Leeds win in his regular online column.

However, he did add that both clubs should be doing better than they are this season.

The Verdict

This is a big game as both sides need to put in a performance for their fans who have been underwhelmed this season.

In terms of the importance of the points, it's clear Wednesday need them more and relegation is a genuine worry given their recent form.

As Prutton says, it should be a tight game that is decided by the odd goal and Leeds fans will be hoping he has got this call correct.
