Stoke City take on Swansea City at the Bet 365 Stadium this evening with both sides looking to get back to winning ways.

The hosts have not won in two matches since a 2-0 victory against Hull City at the end of August before defeat to West Brom before the international break.

Last weekend Gary Rowett’s men squandered a two goal lead against Sheffield Wednesday and had to make do with a point on the road.

Swansea, meanwhile, drew a blank against Nottingham Forest at home and will be hoping to make it back to back away wins when they visit the Potteries this evening.

Both sides will be hoping to secure three points with Stoke hoping it can kick-start their season and Swansea wanting to maintain a small unbeaten run they have built up in the last two weeks.

With that said, Sky Sports have enlisted the help of pundit David Prutton to help predict this evening's clash between the two sides.

Prutton said: “Stoke were in control at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and should really have gone on to win the game after taking such an early two-goal lead, but they are conceding far too many goals.

“Swansea were fairly disappointing as they drew with Nottingham Forest but they will surely be the more confident side heading to the Potteries. I fancy them to nick this one, 1-2.”

The Verdict

This looks like it is going to be a tight affair with both sides coming into this fixture after drawing at the weekend.

Stoke will need to react in front of their fans after letting a two-goal lead slip while Swansea head to their rivals on the back of a clean sheet.

Gary Rowett’s men are struggling to adapt to life in the Championship, and their home form doesn’t make for great reading.

I can see this going either way, but I feel it will end in a 1-1 draw.
