After a hectic week in the Championship, the action continues this weekend as the season begins to take shape.

Elland Road is the venue for this weekend’s intriguing clash between Leeds United and Birmingham City.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men remain atop the summit of the division after an impressive start to the season that has stretched into an eight-game unbeaten run.

Garry Monk’s side, meanwhile, are still awaiting their first win of the season having drawn six and, losing twice in their eight matches.

The Blues will be hoping for their first three points in what would mean the last unbeaten run in the second tier comes to an end.

With that said, Sky Sports’ David Prutton has looked ahead to this weekend’s clash.

Prutton predicted: “No Kemar Roofe or Patrick Bamford? No problem! Tyler Roberts, 19, was given his chance by Marcelo Bielsa up front and he well and truly took it with two goals against Preston on Tuesday night.

“Birmingham are still without a win in the Championship this season, but they've now drawn their last four in a row and six in total to keep themselves out of the relegation zone.

“This ought to be a home banker. 2-0.”

The Verdict

I can’t see past a home win here - it is near on impossible to see Leeds losing any time soon, especially against a side who have not won all season.

Even with injuries, Bielsa’s men have brushed the competition aside and look as strong now as they did on the opening weekend of the season.

For Garry Monk, it is damaged limitation and a free hit with no one other than people of a Blues persuasion believing they can win this game.

I can’t either, 3-0 to Leeds.
