With the Championship taking a break for March’s round of international fixtures, League One takes centre stage.
The Bescot Stadium is the venue for when Walsall host Barnsley with both teams fighting it out at opposite ends of the table.
Dean Keates’ men have lost their last two matches and have dropped into the bottom four – and will be looking to get back to winning ways in order to move out of it.
The Saddlers have won just two of their last six in comparison and will need to improve this weekend.
Daniel Stendel’s men are unbeaten in their last ten games, winning half of those and have established a two-point gap ahead of third place Sunderland.
It will be an interesting clash between the two outfits that are desperate for the three points.
Ahead of the match, Sky Sports enlisted the aid of David Prutton to predict the outcome of the clash.
The EFL presenter said: “Walsall are nearly unrecognisable from the side that started the season so well.
“They were hovering around the top six at one stage but have won just four games since the start of November.
“Barnsley would have been disappointed not to beat Doncaster last Friday night, and now they have Sunderland right on their shoulders.
“I fancy them to get back to winning ways here, though, 0-2.”
Both sides need the points for their respective goals with the Saddlers hoping to get points on the board to move out of the bottom three.
Barnsley, meanwhile, will need the points to move further ahead of Sunderland who do not play this weekend.
The away win for the tykes is accurate, and I think it will end in a bigger scoreline.
