Former Leeds United midfielder David Prutton believes they're set to continue their push for a promotion spot when they travel to Hull City this evening.

Nigel Adkins' men secured a surprise draw against promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough this weekend, coming back from 1-0 down to level through a Jarrod Bowen penalty.

However Prutton, writing in his regular Sky Sports column, believes that Leeds will look to keep the pressure on new leaders West Brom with a win.

"Even though Leeds are missing key men Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford and Pablo Hernandez, the amount of shots that they have, the amount of possession they enjoy and the way that they play, I just think they are going to go to the KCOM and dominate, even though the Tigers did well to get a draw against Middlesbrough."

Leeds were held by Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, they also came back from 1-0 down, with Mateusz Klich netting to earn them a point. Both Leeds and Boro were subsequently leapfrogged by Darren Moore's West Brom, who beat Preston North End 3-2 in a thriller at Deepdale.

The Verdict

Leeds will be looking to get one over on Hull in what is classed as a derby. It might not have the vitriol of some of the Yorkshire matches, but with just 60 miles of motorway between the two, they're considered to be local rivals.

Hull will need to be at their best, but with just one win at home all season they're not looking strong at present. Prutton seems to be about right here, Leeds should come away victorious.
