Wolves need five points to guarantee promotion and will hope to confirm their return to the top-flight by Sunday afternoon.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men host Derby County at Molineux tomorrow night before Birmingham make the short trip to Wolverhampton on midday Sunday.

Whilst two wins will do the job, if Fulham fail to beat Reading tonight then victory over the Rams will be enough.

Either way, the side will be focused on ensuring they can overcome Gary Rowett’s men and EFL pundit David Prutton thinks they’ll have little trouble in doing so.

The former Nottingham Forest midfielder revealed in his Sky Sports column that he expects Wanderers to win 2-0 tomorrow, with Ruben Neves to open the scoring.

The Portugal international struck the only goal for Wolves last time out in a dramatic 1-0 win over Cardiff that saw them take a massive step to securing promotion, with the Welsh side missing two stoppage time penalties.

Whilst that will ensure confidence is sky-high tomorrow, Derby will be in high spirits themselves after back-to-back wins.

The Verdict

Wolves haven’t really done things as you’d expect recently. They’ve taken seven points from nine after winning at Middlesbrough and Cardiff yet drew at home to Hull.

As well as that, they’ve failed to beat Norwich and Forest on their own patch this year, so Derby will be hopeful of getting something, particularly with their strong away record. The Rams have lost only three times on the road this season - a league best.

However, Prutton’s prediction is fair and understandable and the hosts are going to be very confident after events on Friday.
