Sky Sports pundit delivers his verdict as Wolves get ready to face struggling Burton

League leaders Wolves got back to winning ways in the week against Reading and will expect another three points when they welcome lowly Burton Albion to Molineux tomorrow.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men opened up a ten-point lead over third after Aston Villa’s shock defeat to QPR at home, whilst the Brewers fell to a two-goal defeat at Sheffield United.

With the two clubs operating on hugely different budgets, many will expect this to be a home banker and Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton is no different.

He went for a 3-1 home win when making his weekly Championship predictions, adding that the midweek results will only spur Wolves on to ensure they do get promoted.

The Black Country side won the reverse fixture 4-0 in what was a mightily impressive display. However, one crumb of comfort for Nigel Clough’s side is that the hosts will be without Diogo Jota who ran riot that day.

The Portuguese youngster went off injured against the Royals in the week and is expected to miss at least the next few weeks.

The Verdict

Wolves will be massive favourites on Saturday and it’s understandable when you look at the gulf between the two clubs.

Burton know that survival won’t be dictated by games such as this, although there’s no doubt that they need to start picking up points soon.

The leaders need to remain professional, focused and play with the same intensity as they did in the week and then it should be the home win that Prutton, and most others, predict.
