Saturday afternoon presents the ideal opportunity for Leeds United to extend their lead at the top end of the Championship table, with a home clash against Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa's men, after an impressive 1-0 away victory at Sheffield United last week, are now four points clear of 3rd place thanks to three back-to-back league victories.

It won't be too straightforward for the Whites though - QPR have lost just two of their previous ten league games and have turned a corner under Steve McClaren.

It's bound to be an interesting one at Elland Road - so what does Sky Sports' David Prutton predict? The former Sheffield Wednesday man has predicted a comfortable 2-0 home win for Leeds.

"Leeds haven't been quite as convincing lately as they were earlier on in the season, but they are still winning and are right up in the thick of things at the top."

"QPR will have been really disappointed to lose at home to a struggling Hull side, because those are the kinds of games you need to win if you want to make any impression on the top six. This should be a comfortable enough win for Leeds."

Leeds have lost just three games all season, whereas the R's are up to 11th in the Sky Bet Championship table, six points off the playoff places.

The Verdict

I have to agree with Prutton on this one.

QPR have lost very few games recently, but with just one win in their last five, they may have lost their mojo slightly.

Leeds have been impressive at home this season and this should be an easy win.
