Former Bolton Wanderers striker, Kevin Davies, has given his opinion whilst talking live on Sky Sports about what Bradley Dack must do to regain his scoring touch.

The midfielder has failed to find the target in Rovers' opening four league games of the season, with his only strike coming in the Carabao Cup against League Two Oldham.

Blackburn Rovers have won their last two fixtures after losing the opening two. Tony Mowbray will be pleased that his side have found a bit of form, but will want to improve on the amount of goals his side are scoring.

Speaking on Sky Sports about a clip of Dack, Davies said: "Maybe it's something to do with the style of play, maybe it's a new relationship with Sam Gallagher, Stewart Downing. Sometimes it can take a bit of time to understand each other's relationships.

"What he's doing here, it reminds me very much of Kevin Nolan playing off me, he recognises where the space is and when to attack it. It's a great ball in and he can finish.

"It's all about timing, recognising when it's about to come in and getting across defenders. He can finish in these sort of areas, why he's not doing it, we don't really know."

Blackburn host Cardiff on Saturday as they look for a third straight victory.

The Verdict

Dack was one of the best players in the Championship last season. He would continuously get into the box and be able to find space when others couldn't.

Netting 15 goals is a massive proportion for Blackburn, and they'll be hoping he can do the same again this season. It's yet to be seen whether he'll be able to regain that form he had last season but he looked bright during the victory over Hull City.

Mowbray is targeting the top six, and the only way Rovers can get there is if Dack is in the same sort of form that he was last season.
