Tuesday night presents a battle between two sides fighting for promotion to the Premier League, as Bristol City host West Bromwich Albion at Ashton Gate.

Both sides will be looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing result at the weekend - the Robins were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Wigan Athletic, who snatched a 93rd equaliser through Nathan Byrne.

West Brom's automatic promotion hopes were dealt a major blow at the weekend, with the Baggies losing 2-0 to Millwall at the Den. A strike from Ryan Tunnicliffe and an Ahmed Hegazi own-goal condemned James Shan to his first defeat in charge of the West Midlands side.

It is shaping up to be a cracker between two sides who love to score goals on Tuesday night - but what does Sky Sports pundit David Prutton think?

The former Leeds United man has predicted a 1-0 home win for this one: "Despite being held at home by Wigan on Saturday, Bristol City still look in decent shape to push for the play-offs, and are full of confidence again under Lee Johnson.

"West Brom suffered their first setback under James Shan as they were beaten by Millwall, pretty much putting an end to their hopes of automatic promotion. This will be a tight game but I'm going to back City to nick it."

Going into the fixture, the Robins occupy the final play-off spot, whilst West Brom sit seven points off the automatic promotion spots in fourth place.

The Verdict

I think I will have to agree with David Prutton on this one, as Bristol City are normally good at bouncing back.

Especially at home, Lee Johnson's men have really impressed me this season. The fans get right behind their team which makes Ashton Gate a difficult place to go to.

West Brom haven't really impressed me away from home since Shan took charge, and I can see them coming undone on Tuesday night in this one.
