It's a must win game at both ends of the Sky Bet Championship table this weekend, as Reading prepare to host Sheffield United at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

The Royals go into the fixture without a manager, after Paul Clement was relieved of his duties on Thursday morning, after only four wins in 20 matches this season.

But, after just one loss in their last five games, the Berkshire club will fancy their chances, despite languishing 21st in the table.

Chris Wilder's Blades will go into the clash at the Madejski Stadium looking to get back to winning ways - they have won just two of their last eight league games, after a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Leeds United.

It's a hugely important game for both sides, but what does David Prutton think? The Sky Sports pundit has predicted a 2-0 away win for United.

"It's been a frustrating couple of years for Reading as they have failed to reach the heights of what they initially achieved under Jaap Stam, and now Paul Clement has gone as well after not too long in the job himself."

"Sheffield United will have been gutted with the way they lost to Leeds - they will be keen to bounce back and I think they will do just that."

Reading sit just outside of the relegation zone on goal difference, whereas United sit just inside the playoffs on goal difference too, in 6th position.

The Verdict

I'm going to have to agree with Prutton on this one.

It's sometimes a potential banana skin after a team has just sacked a manager, but I think with Clement's departure being so sudden and somewhat unexpected after a decent run of form of late, the Blades will win this.

I'm going to say 2-0 as well.
