Sheffield United travel to Bolton Wanderers this weekend looking to end the strong start Phil Parkinson's side have had to the season.

The unfancied Trotters are currently level on points with Leeds and Middlesbrough at the top of the table, defying critics who had them labelled as relegation candidates.

They've beaten West Brom, Reading and Birmingham to give themselves an early boost, also narrowly losing to Leeds in the Carabao Cup. Their opponents this weekend, Sheffield United have bounced back after a tough opening pair of fixtures.

They failed to pick up a point in their opening two games, but have since registered two wins to give themselves a platform to build upon.

Former England U21 international Prutton, now a pundit for Sky Sports, believes the game will be a 1-1 draw. He picks the outcomes of Championship matches in his Sky Sports column and thinks Bolton have enough to keep their unbeaten run going.

The Verdict

Again, it is hard to disagree with Prutton's assessment. Bolton have started the season as an outfit very tough to beat, something that will stand them in good stead for any battle at the bottom of the table.

They started the summer with a weak looking squad, but their collection of cast offs and lower league bargains has proven to be very strong. Josh Magennis is useful up front and very much in the mould of an old Sam Allardyce forward, whilst Erhun Oztumer has settled well after stepping up from League One.
