Queens Park Rangers have been backed by David Prutton to continue their good form this weekend when they take on Huddersfield Town.
Mark Warburton’s side have moved into the top-half of the Championship table with back-to-back victories.
There’s a fresh bounce about the R’s heading into the final third of the season, which is the polar opposite to what’s happening at Huddersfield right now.
Carlos Corberan’s side have won just once in 2021, which has seen them fall to the brink of a relegation battle in the Championship.
However, there is a little to be positive about heading into the fixture, with Huddersfield drawing their last two – holding Birmingham City to a 1-1 draw, before dominating Cardiff City for large parts but, ultimately, drawing 0-0.
Despite that, Prutton is predicting (Sky Sports) that the form table in 2021 will stay true to itself in West London this weekend, backing Warburton to pick up another victory and potentially thrust Huddersfield into deeper trouble with a 2-1 win.
Quiz: 16 celebrities that support QPR – But do they really?
Earlier in the season, the two clubs were enduring very different stories, with Huddersfield flying at home.
Goals from Josh Koroma and Harry Toffolo in the first-half secured Corberan’s side a home victory when they met in West Yorkshire back in early December.
The way these two have seen their season turn since the New Year, it’s easy to see where Prutton is coming from.
QPR have been rejuvenated by some shrewd January business, whilst Huddersfield are still feeling the pinch of a crippling injury list.
However, this is a game that Corberan is going to circle as a winnable one.
Huddersfield are desperate for points and that might well just spur them on that little bit to get the points on the board
