David Prutton has delivered his Championship Team of the Year to Sky Sports, with Aston Villa, Wolves and Fulham all represented in it.

It's that time of year where we see plenty of awards given out and though this accolade perhaps isn't up there with the likes of the official EFL Awards, players will still want to be recognised by Sky's chief EFL presenter and pundit.

In goal, then, Prutton has gone for John Ruddy over Neil Etheridge and the Wolves-Cardiff theme continues at centre-half with Conor Coady joined by Sol Bamba.

At right back, it's Ryan Fredericks and, staying with Fulham, Ryan Sessegnon goes in at left back despite a more advanced role at times this season.

Across Prutton's four in midfield are Albert Adomah, Ruben Neves, Kevin McDonald and James Maddison - meaning, perhaps surprisingly, there is no room for Tom Cairney.

And then, up front, we've got Matej Vydra and Bobby Reid who have both been excellent up top for their respective clubs this year.

The Verdict

It's a good side, make no mistake, but it might be a bit of a shock to see no Cairney in the side in particular.

McDonald has been very consistent for Fulham, though, so you can see Prutton's reasoning.
