Barnsley ended a run of seven straight defeats with a 2-1 victory over Derby County during the week.

The Tykes tasted victory for the first time since mid-August, in a match that they were deserving to come away with all three points.

Barnsley will be hoping to push on and leave the relegation positions when The Tigers visit tomorrow afternoon, after finding some confidence since Markus Schopp's departure.

Hull will also be viewing this game as an opportunity to put an end to their continued struggles, with Grant McCann's side not winning on the road since the opening day.

The Tigers have scored a mere five goals since netting four at Preston to begin the campaign, but have proven to be defensively competent during the season.

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton believes that Barnsley will run out as 2-0 winners tomorrow in his predictions column.

The verdict

Despite embarking on a seven-game point-less run under Schopp, Barnsley were not playing too bad, with luck seemingly not on their side.

However, like the majority of teams that have seen a manager depart early on during this campaign, they followed it up with a victory.

The Tykes will certainly come into the game the more confident out of the two, but Hull have proven to be a difficult outfit to break down at times.

But, Barnsley possess some excellent and exciting attacking talents, and when adding confidence back into the side, it will be no surprise to see Barnsley emerge as victorious and really kick on from here.
