Sky Sports pundit David Prutton’s weekly prediction column has returned following the international break, with the former Leeds United midfielder giving his expert opinion ahead of the weekend fixtures.

Turning his attentions to Fulham’s home clash with Derby County, Prutton has struggled to pick out a winner, and feels a 1-1 draw is the most likely outcome of the match.

Derby are in a good run of form, and despite having a four game winning streak snapped at the hands of Reading prior to the international break, Gary Rowett’s men are the form side of the division.

Wins at Leeds United and Norwich City in October will give the Rams belief heading into the away tie, but Fulham will be no walk in the park for the East Midlands side.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have been poor this season, rocked by injuries to key personnel, and lie in the bottom half of the table at this early stage of the season.

Looking a far cry from the side that lit up the division last season, the Serb needs a win, and knows victory over the visitors could mark a turning point in his side’s disappointing season.

The Verdict

This is set to be an evenly matched tie.

Both Fulham and Derby will enter the game desperate for three points, with both sides aiming to climb up the table in search of a top-six spot.

I can see there being goals at Craven Cottage, in the game which is set to be televised by Sky, but it is hard to distinguish a winner from the tie.

I’m going Fulham 2-2 Derby County.
