Former Leeds midfielder David Prutton believes the club's solid start to the season is likely to continue this weekend with a trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich City.

The Canaries picked up their first win in midweek, beating Preston 2-0 thanks to two late goals. That will boost morale after a tough start to the season.

"Norwich got an important victory in midweek to relieve some of the early pressure on Daniel Farke, who needs to start showing quickly that they have improved from a very disappointing campaign last season," Prutton wrote on his regular Sky Sports column.

Coupled with a Leeds draw in midweek, the game might be tighter than some think. They were held by Swansea but showed character in fighting back, passing a different kind of test to those faced in the first few games.

"Leeds failed to win for the first time this season on Tuesday night but they showed great resolve in pegging Swansea back twice and Marcelo Bielsa would have been pleased with the point. I reckon they will be too good for Norwich."

Prutton has gone for a 2-0 away win to place pressure back on Daniel Farke and keep Marcelo Bielsa's side firmly ahead of the chasing pack.

The Verdict

It's pretty hard to argue against this prediction. Leeds look a great side, organised and fast moving with a great tempo and fluidity to their football.

Norwich are coming together slowly, the front three look very good and in the middle of the park there's some creativity, but there's also an inexperienced feel to the spine of the team. That might be the telling factor this weekend, as might playing someone like Ben Marshall at wing back against Alioski.
