Easter Monday brought fans of the Sky Bet League One many goals to enjoy, 29 goals infact. All fixtures bar two had goals in them.
Wolves beat Leyton Orient 3-1 at the Matchroom Stadium in a real end to end match. First half goals from Richard Stearman and Bakary Sako gave Wolves a 2-0 lead into half time. Orient then leveled through Dean Cox before having their hopes of a draw killed off by a late James Henry goal.
Preston North End welcomed relegation contenders Shrewsbury Town to Deepdale. Preston North End were able to show the clear gulf in class between the two sides with an emphatic 5-2 victory. Goals from Lee Holmes (Preston), Bailey Wright (Preston) and Shuan Miller (Shrewsbury) set up an enticing scoreline for the second half. An impressive second half hat-trick from the experienced Paul Gallacher killed off the survival hopes of Shrewsbury for this season. Luke Summerfield was the other goalscorer for Shrewsbury.
