Watford have had their fair share of players that have gone on to make a real impact from the club's academy in previous years.

The Hornets now find themselves sat 17th in the Premier League table, and will be hoping they can pull themselves further clear of the relegation zone at the earliest of opportunities.

However, that survival bid has been put on hold for the time being, with recent off-the-field events calling a halt to fixtures across the UK.

We take a look at SIX talented Watford youngsters that you simply need to know about.

Cassidy is yet to feature for Watford's first-team, but has an impressive goal record in the FA Youth Cup.

He's a player that has plenty of competition for his starting spot in the Watford squad, and he'll be keen to potentially look for a loan spell elsewhere to get much-needed minutes under his belt in senior football.

Dalby signed for Watford back in 2019 from Championship side Leeds United.

He has had previously loan spells at both Leyton Orient and Morecambe, and will be looking to further his development in senior football at the earliest of opportunities.

The forward netted a hat-trick for Watford's Under-23s side against RB Leipzig in the summer of 2019 and is certainly a player to keep an eye on in the future.

Folivi is now 22, and will be keen to impress in the Watford first-team at the earliest of opportunities.

He has been out on loan at League One side AFC Wimbledon this season, and has had previous spells away from Vicarage Road with the likes of Boreham Wood and Coventry City in the past.

It could be a make or break year for the forward.

Whelan signed for Watford from Manchester United back in the summer of 2019.

The midfielder has gone on to make his senior debut for the Hornets in their FA Cup clash against Tranmere Rovers earlier this year.

Having previously played for Manchester United's Under-23s team, he'll be keen to further his development in senior football as soon as possible.

Hinds has previously been on the books at Premier League giants Arsenal, but never made a senior appearance for the Gunners.

The 22-year-old has also been with German giants Wolfsburg, but had his spell cut short after an unauthorised week-long absence.

He signed for Watford back in the summer of 2019 on a one-year deal, although it remains to be seen as to whether the club are going to exercise the option to extend that deal by a further year.

Henry Wise is the son of former AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea midfielder Dennis Wise.

The 20-year-old spent his youth career with the likes of QPR, Arsenal and Derby County before moving to Vicarage Road.

Wise has already made his first-team debut for the Hornets, having played in their FA Cup match against League One strugglers Tranmere Rovers.
