Aberdeen should be relatively content with their final position of fourth in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Potential new additions are now likely to be top of the agenda for Derek McInnes as the summer transfer window opens soon.

With this in mind, we've taken a look at SIX of the worst ever Aberdeen signings we've seen from over the years.

Forrester signed for Aberdeen in June 2018 for a fee believed to be in the region of £200,000.

He only made eight appearances for the Dons though, and subsequently left the club in January 2019, after having his contract mutually terminated after a disastrous spell at the club.

Pepper signed for the club in 1998 from Bradford City, but struggled to make a similar impact to that he did with the Bantams and York City.

He made 15 appearances for Aberdeen and had a number of disciplinary problems with the club before joining Southend United in the 1999/00 season.

The striker arrived at Aberdeen in the summer of 2008 from Darlington, but was extremely poor with the Dons.

He made 14 appearances in total for the club, but only scored once. He was released from his contract with Aberdeen with 18 months still left to run on his original deal.

Zola signed for Aberdeen in the summer of 2013, and scored three goals in 24 appearances with the club.

However, his stay with them was short-lived as his contract was cancelled by Aberdeen at the end of the 2013/14 campaign after some poor displays in front of goal.

Mike signed for Aberdeen after catching the eye for the Manchester City reserve team back in 2002.

He scored five goals in 33 appearances for the Dons, but was released just 15 months after signing for the club, which certainly doesn't make for impressive reading.

Mike's last spell in football was with Vanarama National League North FC United of Manchester.

Bus signed on loan from Dutch side De Graafschap in January's transfer window in 2008, but certainly didn't make the impact he originally would have hoped to.

He made just seven appearances for Aberdeen before leaving the club, and finished his playing career back in the Netherlands with Go Ahead Eagles.
