In some ways, it could be argued that it has been a tale of two attackers for Blackburn Rovers this season.

As has been the case ever since his arrival from Gillingham in the summer of 2017, Bradley Dack was the man at the forefront of much of the club's success in the first half of the season, scoring ten goals and providing three assists in 24 appearances in all competitions for the club.

That influence, however, would soon come to an agonising end, with Dack tearing his ACL in a goalless draw with Wigan in his side's final game before Christmas, ruling him out for the rest of the season.

Since then, Rovers have had to turn to other attacking outlets to provide the goals to keep them in the race for the play-offs, and Adam Armstrong has certainly done that.

Five of Armstrong's ten goals and four of his seven assists this season have come in the ten games the club have played since Dack suffered his injury.

But which has impressed Blackburn fans the most this season? Dack before his injury, or Armstrong after it?

We put that question to a number of the club's fans on the 'Blackburn Rovers Supporters' Facebook group, with both players, and a number of their teammates, coming in for plenty of praise.

Here, we take a look at what some of those fans had to say.

Craig Williams-Owen: "Arma has been in scintillating form since Dack’s injury and that for me has saved our season. Single-handedly kept us going at times."

David Parkinson: "There have been a few bright lights Travis, Nyambe, definitely Armstrong but to me, Downing has been well worth the money."

Bill Colman: "Armstrong by a mile has lot more pace and not as lazy and isn’t frightened to have a go from distance."

Nadine Walsh: "Armstrong for me, a great player we need to keep."

Frank Andrews: "With the injuries we have suffered, (Dack,Rothwell, Evans, Holtby etc) all the players have stepped up to be counted, but Arma has been great of late, NEED to keep him fit."

Anthany Baldwin: "To be fair Walton and the defence have been solid recently after a dodgy start. Armstrong needed to take more responsibility after dacks injury and has been a class act."

Paul Anderson: "Nyambe - really kicked on. Travis - didn’t realise how good he is. Downing - worried was coming for a paycheck. Expected great things from Dack/Arma and haven’t been disappointed."
