It has been a struggle for Leeds United over recent years, with the Elland Road club rotting in the Sky Bet Championship, and until recently, never showing any serious signs of pushing for promotion.

Leeds’ transfer business has often left a lot to be desired, with some extremely talented players leaving Elland Road, only to be replaced by others lacking the same quality.

There have certainly been some peculiar dealings in recent times, particularly under Massimo Cellino, but what will be the club’s biggest transfer regret?

We take a look…

Adam Simeoni

Letting McCormack go.

The Scot was absolutely lethal at Elland Road, but has completely fallen out of form since departing several years ago.

Now in Australia after failing to nail down a spot at Aston Villa, Leeds fans will be wishing they had an in-form McCormack at their disposal once again.

It has to be the Becchio/Morison swap deal back in 2013.

Becchio was a massive fan favourite at Elland Road and it will have disappointed many to see him depart the club.

What made it worse was the fact that Steve Morison simply wasn't good enough at Leeds.

Morison scored 5 goals in 41 appearances for Leeds. Let's be honest, that's shocking!

Chris Gallagher

Selling Tom Lees to Sheffield Wednesday.

The centre-back came up through the Leeds academy but even after playing over 125 games for the club, they cashed in on him.

Whilst Leeds have struggled over some of the years in defence, their old centre-back has flourished with the Owls and is a standout defender in the division.
