Many Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been calling for Cameron Dawson to be dropped from the starting line-up following the Owls’ 1-1 draw at Barnsley.

The draw means that Garry Monk’s side have now managed to win just once in their last eight Championship matches, which has seen Wednesday drop down the table and leave them with a lot of work to do to challenge for a place in the play-offs.

Sheffield Wednesday managed to get off to a strong start taking the lead inside the 16th minute, with Josh Windass firing the Owls in front with a fine finish from inside the penalty area to mark his debut with the opening goal of the contest.

However, Dawson was guilty of presenting Barnsley with a chance to get back on level terms, with the 24-year-old slicing his clearance straight to Cauley Woodrow, who fired into the empty net from 35-yards out to cancel out Windass’ opener.
