Preston North End have began their summer clear out, with Simon Grayson confirming Jermaine Beckford and Anders Lindegaard will be released by the club, reports the Lancashire Evening Post.
Grayson’s side have enjoyed a successful season in the Sky Bet Championship, surprising many and finishing a respectable 11th in the table.
Plans for next season are already in motion, with Grayson now trimming his squad down ahead of the summer transfer window.
Beckford has endured a difficult season at Deepdale, scoring just once in 18 appearances, along with picking up two red-cards in December.
Lindegaard made just ten appearances across the season, and has not featured for Preston since October’s EFL Cup clash with Newcastle United, where the goalkeeper conceded six goals.
Preston suffered a disappointing end to the Championship season after they were defeated 1-0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
