Nottingham Forest continue to make big splashes in the transfer market this summer, and at the time of writing, had just confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon.

The Reds have already added big name signings such as Joao Carvalho and Diogo Goncalves, and they continue to monitor the likes of experienced striker Lewis Grabban, who could well become a Forest player by the time this article goes to press.

We at FLW have been massively impressed with the Reds so far in terms of their spending power, but we think more is to come, and we've been keeping a close eye on the World Cup in a bid to scout out some talent.

One player who has caught our eye with some impressive displays is Ipswich Town and Denmark defender Jonas Knudsen, who was excellent for the Danes before seeing his team knocked out on penalties in midweek.

The 25-year-old was a regular for the Tractor Boys last term and developed a reputation as one of the most consistent defensive performers in the league.

Solid positionally and good with the ball, Knudsen also possesses the weapon of having a monstrous long throw.

With Forest adding so many quality footballers to the ranks, having a plan B such as someone with a giant throw could well make the difference in some games, and Knudsen would slot in nicely to the squad currently being assembled at the City Ground.

Reds fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
