Middlesbrough have announced the signing of Sol Bamba, with the centre-back signing a one-year contract at the Riverside.

The 36-year-old is well-known to boss Neil Warnock, as he worked with the defender whilst at Cardiff, where the pair enjoyed huge success.
So, when Bamba was released by the Welsh side this summer, the experienced manager allowed him to train with Boro and he has clearly impressed, with the Teesside outfit confirming he had agreed a deal this afternoon.
The former Leeds man will hope to play an important role on the pitch as Boro look to push for promotion and the club also revealed that Bamba will be working with the academy for the next 12 months.
