Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani is set to meet with the head of Qatar Sports Investment today, with a potential sale of the club up for discussion, report L'Equipe.

Nasser al-Khelaifi, the head of QSI and Paris Saint Germain's current chairman, is looking to buy Leeds according to the report and will meet with Radrizzani and Marcelo Bielsa in Doha.

Al-Khelaifi took over at the Parc des Princes in 2011 and although the side have become dominant in France, they continue to struggle in Europe with the investors now looking for a new venture.

Radrizzani has been involved with Leeds since January 2017 and took full control of the club from Massimo Cellino in May of that year.

Last season saw the Whites come agonisingly close to a Premier League return, missing out on the top-two to Sheffield United before losing to Derby County in the play-offs.

The verdict

It would be a real shock to see Radrizanni go but money talks and QSI will have an awful lot of it.

If they did take control of Leeds, it would be hard to bet against them following in the footsteps of Wolves and maybe even surpassing them.

We have seen at PSG just how much money they have at their disposal and this could easily make Leeds one of the country's superpowers over the next five or so years.
