West Brom picked up a crucial three points against Preston last night thanks to a controversial 90th minute Charlie Austin penalty.

Whilst the main talking point was the dive from Kyle Edwards that brought the spot-kick, the performance of Nathan Ferguson also had the fans talking.

He was awarded man of the match by Sky Sports and arguably the standout moment for him came when he threw himself to block an effort from a North End attacker in the second half.

The club sent out a tweet recognising that earlier today and the full-back responded.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, all the comments to the defender seemed to centre on his contract situation. The 19-year-old's current deal is up in the summer and a host of top clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Juventus, have been linked with Ferguson.
