Darren Moore's summer business is well underway at the Hawthorns with three news signings arriving so far.

Centre-back Kyle Bartley has joined goalkeepers Sam Johnstone and Jonathan Bond in agreeing deals at the Birmingham club, but the manager is keen to continue his business.

Football Insider reported on Tuesday that the Baggies had made enquiries about the availability Leicester City midfielder Daniel Amartey, with Stoke City and Swansea City also interested.

The Baggies are short of options in midfield with Sam Field, Gareth Barry and Jake Livermore their only first-team options and having lost James Morrison, Claudio Yacob and Gregorz Krychowiak this summer.

Amartey had a tricky time with Leicester last season as he struggled to break into the squad before suffering a hamstring injury at the end of the season.

When he did break into the squad he often played as a right-back. This versatility could well be very appealing to potential suitors as well.

But would he be a good signing for West Brom?

We discuss...

Gary Hutchinson

Much depends on the cost, but on the face of it he is a great one to target.

He's young, athletic and needs regular football to truly thrive. It certainly increases pressure on Craig Dawson's agent to sort out a move.

Jay Williams

Amartey could be a top player at Championship level. He is quick, strong and versatile as he is comfortable at centre-half or in defensive midfield.

Either partnering Kyle Bartley at centre-half or protecting the back four by sitting just in front, Amartey would be a great addition in the Championship.

West Brom have been smart so far in the transfer market this summer and this would be another example of a shrewd move by Darren Moore.

Sam Rourke

The combative midfielder could flourish in the Championship, Moore needs to get this done.

Alongside, Jake Livermore or Gareth Barry, Amartey will have licence to become a box-to-box midfielder and could be a key part of the Baggies team.

Sign him up!

Louie Chandler

He is a signing that would give Darren Moore good options in midfield alongside Sam Field, Gareth Barry and Jake Livermore.

Combatitive midfielders are a god send in the Championship and the Ghanaian would be another great signing for the summer.
