‘Sign him up’ – These Leeds fans react to positive player news

Leeds United progressed in the Premier League Cup last night with a penalties victory over Fulham.

The competition is the Under 23 version of the FA Cup, with the clubs that feature in the Premier League B competing against each other for the silverware.

Leeds have a strong Under 23 side and that proved to be the case last night as they dispatched their high-placed opposition.

The game ended 2-2 with Harrison Male sent off for the Whites. Ryan Edmondson opened the scoring, before Chelsea loan player Izzy Brown brought the tie back level. The Whites then clinched the win on spot kicks.

Brown is on a season-long loan from the Premier League giants but has seen just nine minutes of first team action. He spent most of the season injured, but is now fit and ready to go, but largely unused by Bielsa with just nine matches left.

His goal for the Under 23 side was warmly recieved, but perhaps not exactly what the fans were expecting form him when he signed in the summer.

Here’s the best of their responses on Twitter this morning.
