Shrewsbury Town have confirmed the signing of Abu Ogogo via their official website this afternoon.

The 25-year-old midfielder joins from Dagenham and Redbridge where he has spent the last six years.

The former Arsenal trainee signs a two-year contract at the Greenhous Meadow and strengthens Micky Mellon's squad in preparation for the 2015/16 season.

Agogo, is looking forward to the challenge of League One football and spoke to the Shrews' official website shortly after putting pen-to-paper.

He said to the official site: 'I have been to Shrewsbury a few times and came up and met the manager and the chairman.

'There were a few clubs involved and I wanted to take my time and make sure I made the right decision.

'It will be the first time I have moved away from home but it will be a good experience.

'I was at Dagenham for six years and I thought it was a good time in my career for me to move on.'

Ogogo, now looks towards testing himself in the third tier with clubs such as Sheffield United and Millwall on the fixture list for next season.
