West Bromwich Albion have sealed the signature of Cardiff City defender Lee Peltier on a short-term contract until the end of the season, the Baggies confirmed yesterday evening.

The Midlands outfit beat the 11pm transfer deadline when completing the signing of Peltier from the Bluebirds, with the experienced full-back now set to add some defensive depth ahead of Albion's promotion bid during the rest of the season.

The 33-year-old became West Brom's third and final addition of the January window following the arrivals of Kamil Grosicki and Callum Robinson, while Slaven Bilic's side managed to keep hold of their key assets over the course of the month.

Peltier now arrives at The Hawthorns following a five-year stint at the Cardiff City Stadium where he made over 150 appearances for the club, while he has also played for teams such as Leicester and Leeds during his career.
