Mark Warburton will be pleased with Nottingham Forest’s summer so far, with the Reds making a positive start to the Sky Bet Championship season and moulding a competitive squad over the course of the transfer window.

There has been one major departure from the City Ground this summer, with Britt Assombalonga leaving Forest for Middlesbrough in a £15m deal, but Warburton will be pleased with how he has recruited around that, bringing in eight new faces.

Daryl Murphy has already been among the goals following his move from Newcastle United earlier in the summer, whilst additions including Barrie McKay and Jason Cummings have also been impressive.

Liam Bridcutt is another shrewd addition, with the midfielder arriving from Leeds United with a wealth of experience.

There was also an arrival on transfer deadline day, with Adam Federici arriving, but Warburton did not panic and limited his dealings on the final day of August.

Following the close of the transfer window, here is how Forest’s supporters reacted…
