Aston Villa are looking to sustain a play-off spot with promotion back to the Premier League becoming a possibility for the Villans.

Indeed, this season under Steve Bruce has been a rocky ride for Villa fans after slipping down to the bottom half of the table in early parts, but have now recovered with a play-off place looking all the more real.

With them heading into the weekend's encounter with nothing less than three points being a success, it won't be easy as they face a trip to Nottingham Forest in what will be Aitor Karanka's first game in charge.

However, after losing 3-1 to Peterborough United in the FA Cup third-round at the weekend, they'll be hoping that was just a minor blip as they look to get back to winning ways.

One man in particular who's been influential since returning from injury is 19-year-old Andre Green.

The youngster was involved in the weekend's defeat to League 1 side Peterborough, as he displayed an established performance for the onlooking Steve Bruce at Villa Park.

With the winger looking to get back to full-fitness. He took  to his personal Twitter account (@AndreGreen_) to notify fans of him clocking up another 60 minutes of match-time in their U23 game last night.

Following the winger's post, fans were keen to see the youngster become a permanent feature in the Villa line-up after some impressive displays so far.

Nevertheless, here's a look at exactly what supporters made of the player's post...
