‘Show no mercy’ says Blades boss

Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough has told his side to show no mercy when they face Rochdale next weekend.
The Blades are currently on a five match unbeaten run, sitting in 12th place and Clough wants his side to impose themselves against the newly-promoted side. The Dale are in 20th place, four points from five games.
Talking to the Sheffield Telegraph, Clough said ”We want the type of mindset where we focus on ourselves and not what others are doing. That, I think, is absolutely key.”
“We give all our opponents, no matter who they are or where they are from, respect. But that doesn’t mean to say that we should get too caught-up in what they are trying to do instead of backing our own ability. It’s that type of attitude which has served us well in the past. The attitude whereby we are determined to create problems for others to try and solve rather than the other way around.” added Clough.
Sheffield United were due to face MK Dons tomorrow but was forced to postpone due to, too many players on International Duty. The Blades will face Rochdale at Bramall Lane in eight days time.
