Sheffield Wednesday were comprehensively beaten by Rotherham United in their first Yorkshire derby of the season last night and many Owls fans have been heavily critical of goalkeeper Cameron Dawson's performance.

The Wednesday shot-stopper's indecision allowed Jamie Lindsay to nod home the opener after five minutes.

Dawson was at fault again for the second goal, misjudging a ball over the top that led to Tom Lees giving away a penalty and being shown a straight red card.

Dan Barlaser made no mistake from the penalty spot and then five minutes later Lindsay grabbed a third for Rotherham after the Owls keeper parried a shot into his path.

The Millers' had the ball in the net again after the break but this time Dawson's blushes were spared the offside flag.

Despite a good reaction save late on, it was a nightmarish afternoon for the 25-year-old and questions will certainly be asked whether he is the right man to take the number one jersey.

The experienced Keiren Westwood has been outcast under Monk, meaning Joe Wildsmith would be the likely replacement.

Are these 10 facts about Hillsborough true or false?

It appears many Wednesday fans have lost patience with their current starting keeper, as their comments on Twitter prove.
