It's been a pretty strong start to proceedings for Leeds United this season and they'll be thinking that a play-off challenge is possible at the very least.

Certainly, some might feel as though they should be even higher up in the table right now and the reason they are not, many would say, is because they have perhaps not been as physical as they could be.

That, though, may apply to some players more than others and one thing you could never say of Pontus Jansson is that he won't get into a battle.

Certainly, those tenacious tendencies have made him a hit at Elland Road and we think he could have done a similar job this season for Liverpool in the Premier League.

It's pretty clear to anyone that the Reds have a real deficiency of leaders at the back. They simply go to pieces at set-plays and their zonal marking comes a cropper more often than not thanks to a lack of someone willing to attack the incoming ball.

For sure, they need someone who's brave and willing to get hurt for the cause and Jansson is certainly someone who fits that bill.

He's got other strings to his bow though, too. He can get the ball on the deck but knows when to clear his lines whilst mentally he's as strong as many defenders out there which would surely add some serenity to the Reds' defence.

He's certainly a Premier League player, and Leeds fans will hope he achieves that with them instead of moving on.
