The number one spot remains a priority for Marcelo Bielsa, as it looks unlikely the Whites will be able to tempt Angus Gunn to Elland Road.

With Sheffield Wednesday looking to streamline their bloated squad, should Leeds move to bring in one of Wednesday's stoppers to the club?

Joe Wildsmith

Making 20 appearances for the Owls last season aged just 22, Wildsmith has a big future ahead of him.

After Kieren Westwood sustained an injury, then manager Carlos Carvalhal put faith in the youngster.

Wildsmith notably kept a clean sheet against Arsenal in 2015, in a 3-0 win for the Hillsborough outfit, to allow Wednesday to progress to the quarter finals.

If Leeds United brought in the capable Wildsmith, he could make the nueber one spot his own at Elland Road for many years to come.

Kieren Westwood

Irish international Westwood has 133 league appearances and is vastly experienced.

A move to bring Westwood to Elland Road would be a quick fix for the number one spot, and would take no getting used to for Westwood.

With young promising stoppers available to him, Luhukay may well be willing to move the stopper on to Elland Road.

A move for the 33-year-old might not be quite as far fetched as it might first appear.

Cameron Dawson

Capped an England under-18 and England under-19 level, Dawson is another 22-year-old stopper at Wednesday with potential to improve.

He has been out on four loan spells away from Hillsborough, so will perhaps be looking for a long term switch away from Hillsborough to further his career.

Of the Sheffield Wednesday keepers, Wildsmith and Westwood must be two names that would tempt Bielsa into action.

Westwood is a ready made Championship number one, and Wildsmith has serious potential, and could improve and settle into the Leeds United set up.
