Ever since the Sky Bet Championship fixtures came out, the away game at Cardiff City was always going to be regarded as a tough game for Leeds.

The Elland Road club enjoyed a good win at the Cardiff City Stadium last season which was crowned by a wonderful goal from Pablo Hernandez.

At the time Cardiff were in a managerial transition but since then Neil Warnock has taken over and has now turned Cardiff into promotion hopefuls.

We all know what happened at Millwall.

Leeds were outclassed and the midfield struggled to cope that afternoon.

Normally, Phillips and O’Kane are a reliable combination in that department and have been a revelation this season.

But they were overrun and devoid of creativity on the day.

Cardiff will make it difficult for Leeds to play their natural style.

And then my mind takes me to the recent Burnley cup game.

Leeds had Mateusz Klich and Ronaldo Vieira in the midfield that memorable night.

They coped with a Premier League team and they made a good fist of it.

So, should Thomas Christiansen pick these two rather than the usually dependable duo?

The Leeds coach does not shirk from making difficult decisions.

As he recently said, the Cardiff game will be like Birmingham, Millwall and Ipswich all rolled into one.

It’s a game to dig in for a win, and it's not going to be pretty.
