Amongst the cheers and sighs of relief at Elland Road yesterday afternoon, one man's relief was probably more obvious than anyone else's.

Indeed, Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen had finally seen his side win another game - this time against Middlesbrough - with a performance that showed they've still got ability.

It was a much-needed win, though, with some doubt creeping in over the manager and so we're taking a look at whether he's bought himself some time...

Sam Rourke

Christiansen needed a win on Sunday so badly, and he got one.

Undoubtedly the biggest victory in Christiansen's tenure in charge at Leeds, this will have bought him time.

Leeds fans will have re-gained some confidence in the half Spanish, half Danish boss, after a strong performance against Boro.

Leeds were slipping away from the top six rapidly, but they are now still in the mixer.

Alfie Burns

Yes, but to be honest, he shouldn’t be under the pressure he finds himself under.

Christiansen’s side have struggled in recent weeks, but the blame lying with the head-coach is unfair, as it has been his players that have let him down.

Against Middlesbrough, some key players put in some big performances, and Christiansen will be grateful for that.

He has given himself time, and Leeds look like they could be about to return to their best.

Chris Gallagher

He has without a doubt, whether he needed to is another question.

Leeds were very good yesterday and deservedly beat a good Boro side. Christiansen also deserves credit for the way the team played which was on the front foot.

The pressure was building and a defeat yesterday would've really ramped it up, but this should give him some breathing space given they're level on points for the play-offs.

Adam Simeoni

Without a doubt, yes. This was a must-win game for the Spanish Dane, and he took his chance with aplomb. Leeds have some tough fixtures coming up and those associated with the club will appreciate this, and may look back to this result as the factor that keeps him in a job.
