Should Bolton Wanderers sign this ex-West Ham United striker?

Published

on

Bolton Wanderers are currently being linked with a move for former West Ham United striker Carlton Cole, according to the Sun – But should they sign him?

Neil Lennon’s Bolton Wanderers currently sit in 22nd place in the Sky Bet Championship, and have only managed to score nine goals all season – something that Lennon will no doubt be eager to sort out sooner rather than later.

The Trotters are without young striker Zach Clough due to a shoulder injury, and have been left with Emile Heskey, Max Clayton and Gary Madine to score the goals, however none of them have really set the Macron Stadium alight this season.

Carlton Cole is a striker that knows how to score goals – he managed to score 15 goals in West Ham United’s 2011/12 promotion winning season, and he played an influential role in helping the Hammers win promotion via the play-offs.

Cole is surely a player that fans of Wanderers would like to sign, as his experience with the likes of Chelsea, Aston Villa, Wolves, Charlton Athletic and of course, West Ham, could make him a shrewd addition to the setup at Bolton Wanderers.

So Bolton Wanderers fans….. Is Carlton Cole the type of striker you need? Would he add an element of firepower and potency to your team? Let us know in our POLL BELOW – VOTE NOW!
