Leeds United remain on course to make a long-awaited return to the Premier League this season under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites are currently sat top of the Championship table, and will be confident of holding their nerve in the promotion run-in with nine games remaining in this year's campaign.

It would be difficult to blame Leeds for having one eye on preparations for life back in the top-flight, with Bielsa's men being seven points clear of third-placed Fulham in the second-tier standings.

One player that could soon be available as a free-agent is AFC Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, who is yet to sign a new deal with Eddie Howe's side.

When quizzed on whether he'd be a good addition to Marcelo Bielsa's side in an interview with Football Insider, former Leeds defender Danny Mills admitted that Fraser is a player that the Whites should be targeting in the summer.

"Leeds should be looking at him. Any player who Premier League experience who is available on a free transfer they should be looking at. He will have other options though, without a doubt.

"Fraser is a player of quality but sometimes free transfers’ wages can get a little bit out of hand. The wages could get silly and Leeds would have to make sure it wouldn’t knock everybody else out of kilter. Free transfers often seem great but it depends on what the wages are.

"I hope he makes the best move, in terms of football, for himself."

Fraser and his AFC Bournemouth team-mates will be hoping they can retain their status as a Premier League club this season, with the Cherries struggling in the relegation zone at this moment in time.

The Verdict:

He'd be somewhat of a coup for Leeds if they managed to strike an agreement with the Scotsman.

Fraser has already shown in the past that he's more than capable of performing to a high standard in the Premier League, and I'm certain that he'll have plenty of interest in his services heading into the summer.

He could still remain with AFC Bournemouth of course, but it seems as though it'll be dependent on whether they retain their status as a team in the top-flight this term.

Leeds certainly look as though they're heading

He's exactly the type of player they should be targeting if they are to win promotion into the Premier League this term.
