‘Should be captain’ – Many Nottingham Forest fans react to 23-year-old’s Boxing Day display

Nottingham Forest made it three games unbeaten in the Championship on Boxing Day, drawing 0-0 at home to Birmingham City.

The Reds came into this one on the back of a couple of positive results, defeating Sheffield Wednesday by two goals to nil and drawing with Millwall.

There was very little attacking quality on show from both sides at the weekend, though, as they played out a Boxing Day stalemate.

It was Ryan Yates who had the best chance over the course of the 90 minutes, with the midfielder having an acrobatic volley denied by Neil Etheridge from close-range.

Yates, who started yet another game under Chris Hughton, produced an impressive display, particularly in the first-half.

The midfielder picked out some smart passes and recycled play well, and he found himself in some dangerous attacking positions throughout.
