Nottingham Forest face off against bitter rivals Derby County on Sunday in the East Midlands derby.

The match is taking place at Pride Park and it's set to be another feisty affair.

Both sides have had similar starts to the season, with Forest sitting in 13th spot and Derby sitting two places lower in 15th.

Forest manager Mark Warburton will have a number of team selection decisions to make before kick-off, and a key one concerns the striker role.

Does Jason Cummings deserve to start against Derby?

The writers here at FLW have had their say....

Adam Simeoni

He certainly should.

The Forest forward has impressed since his move from Hibs, and scored in the 2-1 win over Sheffield United before the international break.

Having had two weeks off from competitive action to train and improve his game, Cummings will be raring to go, and Warburton needs players like that in his side if Forest are to get a result.

Alfie Burns

Cummings should be a guaranteed starter after the impact he made in Nottingham Forest’s last fixture against Sheffield United.

The 22-year-old’s goal came at a crucial time for Forest that afternoon, and his 76-minute performance was one of the reasons that Warburton’s side picked up three points.

It will be a tough afternoon against Derby on Sunday, but Cummings deserves to retain his place in the side alongside Daryl Murphy.

George Dagless

He's the exact character you want.

Cummings hasn't started all the games this season but when he has he's worked hard and he's also found the net a decent amount.

He's the kind of player that won't be bothered by the atmosphere and that could prove crucial in one of the biggest games the Championship has to offer.

Him and Daryl Murphy up top could win Forest the game.

Chris Gallagher

Without a doubt.

Cummings played and scored as Forest won last time out and his confidence is sure to be sky high. At Hibs, he relished the big occasions, scoring in several Edinburgh derbies and will thrive in the atmosphere on Sunday.

Forest need to be brave and attack even if they're the away side and the Scottish forward is going to have a key role to play.
