Grimsby Town midfielder Max Wright is impressing in his current loan spell with Boston United, so much so that fans are now calling for him to be recalled.

He pulled the Pilgrims out of the mire this weekend with a stunning leveller against York City at Bootham Crescent, footage of which his parent club have tweeted out.

It was a sensational finish from the younger, currently on the third loan spell of his career.

He's also been with Sutton Coldfield Town and Scarborough Athletic, the latter being one division below Grimsby. He hit 15 goals for them this season and is now plying his trade in the National League North.

There's been plenty of reaction on Twitter to his goal from Grimsby fans who are highly impressed with his strike, a curling effort from outside the area.

They're urging Michael Jolley to get him back to Blundell Park, where his parent side are currently 15th in the table.

Here's the best of their responses.
