Aston Villa's stuttering campaign continued last night as a much changed side lost to Middlesbrough in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

In a recent repeat of the league game between the two sides, there was another sending off as Tommy Elphick saw red in the second half of the game.

And, ultimately, that is what caused the result as Patrick Bamford fired Boro to the win.

Now, then, Villa need to focus back on the league with a tough game against Nottingham Forest up next in the Championship.

Forest have been going well this season but come into the game after suffering defeat last time out in the league against Wolves at the City Ground.

The men from Molineux really did put in a fine display in that game, too, as Diogo Jota fired two past the Reds and we're wondering just whether or not Villa should look to replicate Wolves' approach so they also get three points against Forest.

Wolves, then, played a 3-4-3 to get the victory last weekend and so, with that in mind, we think that Steve Bruce should also look to do that and take the game to their opponents.

We've got pace and trickery going forwards with Josh Onomah, Jonathan Kodjia and Callum O'Hare - who impressed last night - whilst Mile Jedinak comes into the back three to add experience and strength.

Here, then, is how we think it should look:
