Swansea City have agreed a loan deal for Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Hannes Wolf, as per an update on The Athletic's transfer tracker.

The Austrian, who can play on either wing as well as an attacking midfielder, has appeared seven times in the league for the German outfit thus far this season, remaining on the fringes.

Monchengladbach signed Wolf from RB Leipzig last year for £8 million, and prior to that, he enjoyed a very productive couple of seasons with RB Salzburg, proving to be an integral member of the squad at a young age.

Wolf netted 23 times and provided a further 21 assists in 89 games for the Austrian giants, before a move to Germany was eventually sanctioned.

Wolf is expected to come in and as key source of creativity and attacking third drive for the Swans, especially if Jamie Paterson is to depart this month.

The 30-year-old is unhappy with his contract situation at the Swansea.com Stadium, as per a report from the BBC, with his future potentially lying elsewhere.

Wales Online have reported that Blackburn Rovers, Huddersfield Town and QPR are minoring his situation in South Wales.

Here, we take a look at how Swansea fans have reacted on Twitter to news of their interest in Wolf...
