Stoke City fell to their ninth league defeat of the season on Tuesday night, with the Potters losing 1-0 to high-flying Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Nathan Jones' side have finally started to pick up of late, defeating promotion contenders Fulham at the weekend, to secure back-to-back league wins for the first time in almost 12 months.

But the Staffordshire side were brought back down to Earth in midweek, as they fell to an unlucky 1-0 defeat.

There was very little between the two sides in the game, and the only goal of the match came after Liam Lindsay made a big mistake at the back.

The Scot, who came on to replace the injured Cameron Carter-Vickers in the first half, failed to clear a long ball, allowing Massimo Luongo to score the game's only goal.

Despite impressing in League One for Barnsley last term, Lindsay has failed to show Stoke fans what he's all about thus far this season, and here, we look at Stoke fans' reactions to his performance in midweek.
