Middlesbrough's poor season continued this afternoon as they were seen off by Sheffield Wednesday in emphatic fashion.

The Owls had four goals at half-time as Jonathan Woodgate's men essentially fell to pieces in front of their own fans.

Despite Paddy McNair getting Boro back into the game at 2-1 down, that was as good as it would get for the home side, as former manager Garry Monk got one firmly over his former club in emphatic fashion.

The Middlesbrough fans were rightly angry at the final whistle at what they had seen, and it's definitely worrying times for the club given they now sit 18th in the Championship with just nine points from their opening nine games.

Boro fans on social media too were left frustrated and upset at the manner of the defeat this afternoon, and there were a plethora of negative comments directed at the club following the game.

We at FLW looked at jus what the Boro fans had to say, and it's safe to say it doesn't make good reading...
