‘Shocking’, ‘Embarrassing’ – These Leeds United fans react to another pre-season defeat
Leeds United suffered a 4-2 pre-season defeat to Saudi Arabian team Al-Ittihad yesterday leaving many Whites fans worried ahead of the new season.
The behind closed doors friendly took place at Thorp Arch.
With the majority of the first-team squad having taken part in the pre-season trip to Australia, it was a weakened side that lined up for Leeds but senior stars Helder Costa, Ben White, and Ezgjan Alioski all featured.

Following on from the 4-0 loss to Manchester United, the defeat was the second time in a week that a Leeds side had conceded four times.
Romarinho, Abdel Rahman Al-Aboud, Aleksandar Prijović, and Luis Antonio Jiminez all found the net for the tourists.
Al-Ittihad finished just three points above the relegation zone in the Saudi Professional League last season but they may be buoyed for the upcoming campaign under new coach José Luis Sierra, who has returned for a second spell at the club.
A friendly against Girona on Saturday is now the only game left for the Whites before they begin their Championship campaign against Bristol City in 12 days.
Though it was just a pre-season friendly, many supporters of the Yorkshire club appear worried and annoyed by the result, especially as it seems the club are not moving for a replacement for departed centre-back Pontus Jansson.
